Taryn McIsacc

Taryn McIssac is a talented illustrator, and visual artist from Point Reyes Station. Taryn began drawing at the age of four and just never seemed to stop. Carrying through her work is a strong sense of understanding for compositional engagement. Currently, Taryn is a freshman at Tomales High School and is learning new techniques in other mediums that are more physically demanding. She has not let the curiosity of exploring other interest halt the progress of being a budding artist. Instead, art has transitioned from a main focus to a relaxing pass time. Recently, Taryn was named the winner in a local drawing contest at the Tomales Bay Youth Center. The contest asked for students age 11-15 to submit a drawing reflecting what they saw for West Marin’s future. Taryn’s drawing (below to the left) impressed judges with its attention to detail and representational imagery that are considered staples among the West Marin landscape.
