Wise Wandering Woman- Jennifer Mygatt Tatum

Artist, mentor, community member, and founder of local studio collective: Jennifer Mygatt Tatum does it all.

Jennifer is a Sonoma County artist who is inspired by the natural world, returning to nature, and female independence. With her focus on printmaking, painting, mosaic, and graphite drawings, Tatum strives to capture a sense of awe in her works by simulating the feeling of grounding yourself in nature. Among her many series of artworks, one that stands out is her "Wandering Women" paintings. These paintings are a colorful display of female independence and a common theme in Tatum's art of returning to nature. Tatum's use of color in contrast with her grayscale graphite drawings creates a sense of whimsy that will easily catch anyone's attention
